hello and assalamualaikum..this time i would like to write and share about my experience organizing a charity program #theblanketproject.

idea ni datang lepas sy join #foodforhomeless (which i found out bout it in twitter). program tu was on the 1st december 2012. utk program tu sy tolong hariz kumpul baju2 terpakai..so mase distribution barang2 pada homeless people tu, sy terfikir mcm mana these people can stand the cold nights, especially time hujan coz mase tu mmg musim hujan pon..

so after i got back home that night, i kept on thinking on how to help this people to keep them warm at night and terkeluarla idea ni..i told my friends who joined #foodforhomeless tu, mady and wani bout my idea and they agree to do this together...

so bermulalah usaha kami untuk mendapatkan selimut2, sweater dan baju2 lelaki yg terpakai untuk diagih2kan kepada homeless kt KL nanti..since that was our 1st project,sy betul2 blur mcm mana nk start..so we use twitter and facebook as medium to spread the words. mula2 takde respond sgt kitorg dpt..however, slowly we gained support and contribution from a lot of people..we managed to collect lots of baju2 tu semua..ada jugak yang dermakan duit since we need money to order food and to buy some stuff mcm biskut, air mineral, dental travel kit and sabun mandi..and barang2 tu sume dikumpulkan kt rumah mady kt batu caves.

sy memberanikan diri untuk tweet Mydin Malaysia on the 8th december regarding this project. the next day, tak disangka2 Miss Kasturi Ganapathy dr Mydin sent me an email, giving me her phone num and ask me to call her..'this is a very2 good progress'..i told that to myself..yes, im kinda nervous, excited, takut..semua adalah coz since im jz a 'young grown up kid'(haha..sangatlaaa)..i dont expect to deal with people from companies and all..

the next day, i received call from miss kasturi and she was very excited to hear bout this project and she said that she'll try to get some stuff to be given away..on the 22nd of dec, i received a phone call again, miss kasturi ckp 'da approved'..i was like YEAYYYYYY!!haha..so i went to Mydin HQ in subang to collect the stuff there..



we ordered mihun goreng from kak aza for 50pax (eventhough our target is actually about 60 homeless)..budget lebih kurang rm10 untuk sorg homeless :

- food : rm2.50/pax
- biskut : rm 3.30/pax
- air mineral : rm0.49/pax
- sabun : rm0.80+/pax
- dental travel kit : rm4.20/pax

kitorg ade few problems and issue la at first..mcm brape agak2 homeless yg akan ada mlm tu nti, siapa nk jadi volunteer cz people kejap join, kejap tarik diri..n mcm2 hal la..tp alhamdulillah, semua tu dpt settle gak..sy nak ucapkan jutaan terima kasih kpd mady n wani sbgai organizer bersame..para penderma barang n duit,Mr Abu yg dtg bwk brg2 dr Sabah,Mydin Malaysia,para volunteers yg terdiri dpd staff IJN, hariz from #foodforhomeless, UiTM students, UM student, pelakon Zizan Nin n geng, cikgu/tutor, dan semua la yg terlibat..

28th december,malam tu kitorg packing barang2 before gerak dr umah mady to our 1st location, Masjid Negara. kt situ Zizan Nin n geng and few uitm students da tunggu kitorg...since DBKL baru lepas buat rush, xramai homeless yg tinggal..dapatla kami bg makanan, baju, blanket semua kt diorang..

everyone has their own stories..so dont judge them

menyelusuri lorong2 yg kotor dan busuk untuk berbakti kpd golongan yg selalu dilupakan..

then kitorg pon gerak pegi menara maybank and pudu..sini sangat 2 ramai homeless, eventhough tak ramai mcm selalu...semua bangsa ada..melayu, cina, india, foreigners sume ade..apa yg sangat2 sy kagumi adalah semangat volunteers yg ada malam tu..walaupon ada yg kerja and ada class the next day, they still wanted to distribute the items walaupon jam dah menunjukkan pukul 3.00 pagi. semangat dan komitmen yg ditunjukkan sgt2 membanggakan..i hope adik2 dr UiTM ni belajar utk buat program mcm ni n mampu untuk organize charity event and i believe they can do better than kitorg..so, bravo and kudos tu everyone of us that night..semoga Allah merahmati usaha kita untuk tolong golongan gelandangan, xkisahlah apa pon kisah di sebalik hidup mereka di jalanan tu..semoga usaha ni tak berakhir kat sini je..sy harap dpt buat lagi this kind of project..sapa tau tiba2 ada company nak sponsor sy buat program konon2 mcm #theblanketproject4gaza..haaaa gituuu..haha..takpelah..doakan kami berjaya dlm project2 kami yg seterusnya..aminnn..

 pheww..lama da aku x conteng kt belog ni..haha..haaa..ni aku nk cite pasal cuti2 kt cameron highland awal bln 10 ari tu..kire ni kali kedua aku pi dlm tahun ni n yg ketiga la seumur hidup aku..bulan April 2012 aku g dgn family..8-10 Oktober aku g dgn bespren aku yg dtg dari jauh,Zulie..kitorg g untuk 3hari 2 malam..haha..

     Actually ade 2 jalan la nak naik cameron ni..since aku ni dari KL, aku boleh je naik ikot Tapah..tapi orang kate Tapah ni berliku2 jalan dia..untuk orang yg x tahan mcm aku..aku pilih ikot Simpang Pulai which is jauh sikit la drpd Tapah..so berpandukan GPS kakak aku, kitorg gerak dari KL via tol Jln Duta dlm kol 9am..sbb aku ni mmg pemandu yg berhemah (ehem..)..perjalanan tu took about sejam setengah - dua jam untuk ke simpang pulai..dalam kol 11am..start la kete Myvi yg kiut ni mendaki cameron..cuak gak sebab name je da 6 tahun pegang lesen kete, tp aku xtau nk masuk gear apa..kahkah..

     8 Oktober 2012 - So agak2 dalam pukul 12.30pm kitorg pon sampai la kt Cameron..yipiie!!sampai2 terus la menuju ke area pasar dkt2 Equatorial hotel (dekat Kea Farm)..so sini mmg byk jual sayur2 yg fresh gile..buah-buahan mcm jambu epal, strawberry,oren etc and paling best ada jual bunga2 yg fresh n sangatla murah nk compare kt KL..aku beli 8-10stalk roses dgn harge rm3.00 je ok!!haha..feeling2 romantik gitu beli bunga fresh..

     Lepas tu, kitorg g S'Corner Strawberry Farm..tempat ni mmg aku aim la sebab ade mesin game..dapatla 3 biji patung..haha..lepas tu kitorg pegi Cactus Farm lak..atas siket je dari S'Corner ni..

Bunga-bunga kat Cactus Farm ni memang cantik la..ingat nk beli gak tp takot bawak KL kang layu..so beli pokok cili je untuk mak member aku..makcik,rajin2 la masak,nti saya dtg ye..kihkih..

bunga tu tak termasuk sekali dalam RM230 tu ye..harap maklum..haha

So round punye round, jam da pon pukul 2.30pm..since check in pukul 3.00pm, kitorang pon gerak la pegi ke Strawberry Park Resort kat area Tanah Rata..so tempat ni dia ke dalam sikit la..kalo malam2 payah sket nk keluar..so aku recommend kalo yang nak kelua g pasar memalam tu better duduk dkt Equatorial Hotel la sbb senang sket nk keluar..

Lepas check-in kitorg g KFC beli dinner n terpaksa balik hotel awal sebab hujan lebat kol 6.00pm tu..malam tu aktiviti tgk TV la..sumpah sejuk gila malam tu..brrrrr...

9 Oktober 2012 - pagi tu kitorang bangon awal nk g breakfast..asal plan nk jogging, tapi mata nk mcm tkatup2 je so cancel la..habes je breakfast,kitorg gerak g tempat yg sangat cantik ni..Bharat Tea Plantation..dulu da g BOH tea plantation mase dgn family..tu best gak tp tak sanggup nk drive naik sane..kt Bharat ni terjumpe pelakon Shaanaz Ahmad..hensem gak..haha

Lepas tu kitorg g lagi pasar,memborong sayur mayur n strawberry...nak gak try strawberry chocolate kt sini..then kitorg gerak g Butterfly farm...pehhh,mcm Alice in wonderland kawww...ade gak binatamg2 lain..bole tahan la tempat ni..cantik..

Second day kat sini x dapat jalan byk sgt sbb byk kedai tutup..tp kitorg g main lagi mesin tikam kt Bee Farm..dapat 2 patung lagi...pukul 2pm, hujan lebat lagi..mari balik hotel...

10 Oktober 2012 - owww da last day pon kat sini..so lepas breakfast, kitorg terus check out n singgah jap strawberry farm dkt2 hotel..bau strawberry dia..aummmmm..

Dalam kol 11am tu ujan start turun..kitorg pon baru nk turun dari Cameron..singgah kt Avent homemade Chocolate..barang2 sini cantik sgt..coffee die pon sedap..dalam pukul 1.30pm sampai la kt bawah dah...

Pukul 2pm, kitorg singgah Kellie's Castle..amende tu?haaa..ni mcm istana yg da lame ditinggalkan..orang kate tempat ni haunted..ye ke?wallaualam..so sesampai je, biase la..aktiviti amek gambar..

 kitorg bukak pintu mase benti nk amek gamba..masuk2 je dlm kete, ade la dekat 20000 ekor lalat da masuk dlm kete..punye la aku panic..hishh da xsedap hati ni...so btungkus lumus la kitorg dok halau lalat..

entrance fee RM4 sorg..rasanye kitorg 2 je kot pelawat masa tu..walaupon tengah hari buta..tp tmpat ni mmg sunyi lagi spooky..haha..aku nk naik..Zulie x nak..so jalan2 kt luar bawah je la..so tu la cite kitorg naik Cameron..ade rezeki bole datang lagi :) Hip Hip hooreyyyyy!!
p/s: rugi la bagi mereka yg tidak ikot kitorg..hahaha

so since last week few people came to me and said bout my pic in tudung la mcm tu la lebey kurang..i dont find it weird or something..like, i used to wear it when i was a highschool student and when i was in matrix..so i dont really mind when they told me that..but up till this week,they still talk bout it and like 'jakun nk mampos' or something..and i was like 'laa..x sudah2 lg ke cakap psl bende yg sama..annoying gile kot..mcm kalo org ckp bnde yg sama je ko x ase bosan ke'..hello..get a life la wei..i mean ur own life..until this point, im not angry..but honestly,im so damn annoyed coz im not that type of person who like to talk n listen to the same old thing over days or weeks..and yes we are surrounded by 'all-ladies-community'..but u dont have to be and act like u r 1 of those jakun-or-mulut-joyah..come on..u r adult..go n do something more 'intelligent'..tq
